Come explore with me…
Whether I’m teaching Yoga, making an herbal tincture, or celebrating the turning of the seasons, my hope is always the same: to help people find a glimpse of wholeness in a fractured world. Rooted in both science and reverence, my down-to-earth teachings facilitate the development of practical skills while nurturing a deeper sense of belonging with the landscapes, plants, and communities around us. I’m not here to tell you what you need, but to create space to discover it and find accessible tools to nurture yourself! My classes are experiential and equally deep as they are irreverent, we can’t take things too seriously. Expect to learn, laugh, and find a sense of community with me.

Herbs and more for grief, overwhelm, and supporting the nervous system in trying times
We continue to live in a time and place that tests the bounds of our humanity, and ability to get through the day while external forces deplete our reserves. Chronic stress, grief, and burnout are increasingly becoming normalized, and just a cup of tea ain’t gonna cut it. Though none of us have the answers for how to navigate these unprecedented heavy times, this class will start a conversation about facing reality and options for creating a practical path forward.
We’ll explore herbal actions in general, and some specific nervines and trophorestoratives, that support nervous system resilience and healthy boundaries without encouraging disengagement from the wider world. We will discuss some patterns of nervous system dysregulation and how to match herbal allies to different states such as anxiety, depletion, and mental overactivity – along with discussion of practical habitats and daily practices that can help sustain resilience.

“People often ask me what one thing I would recommend to restore relationship between land and people. My answer is almost always, ‘Plant a garden.’ A garden is a nursery for nurturing connection, the soil for cultivation of practical reverence…once you develop a relationship with a little patch of earth, it becomes a seed itself.“
– Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass
